Theres a bunch of workshop mods that trivializes the achievement hunt. A few of them are outdated/deprecated and havent been updated for many years, but with the correct settings can still be rendered compatible with the current version of the game as of 2025-12-28 - a future update might break the mods even more.
You will have to have the following mods from Steam Workshop:
📁 Vermintide Mod Framework (Mod Manager that lets you use mods in the first place)
📁 Hacks (lets you insta-complete a level, among other things)
📁 Casual Mode (allows you to bypass the loot and progression system to gain immediate access to full-power heroes and weapons)
📁 Max Level (gives all characters max level and access to all talents)
After you've installed all the mods, run the launcher, choose "Modded Realm", open mod list and make sure they're all activated and sorted as follows (certain mods will not run if not beneath another mod in the mod list):
1) Vermintide Mod Framework
2) Max Level
3) Hacks
4) Casual Mode
⭐ Run the game and play through the prologue normally (Adventure).
⭐ After the prologue, and once in the keep, you will get the achievements for playing through the prologue as well as all the achievements relating to reaching level 30 (since we have the Max Level addon activated). You equip a few items during the prologue so you should get the one for equipping a common item as well. This should put you at 9/26 achievements.
⭐ Press F4 to open mod options. Set Casual Mode - Progression System to "None". For the Hacks mod, bind "Win level" to F9 for example.
⭐ Go to the map in the keep where you can select a mission. Go to "Custom game", set difficulty to legendary (not necessary for the first three acts but might as well since we will insta-win the levels). Pick campaign and go through every level of each of the three acts. After every starting cutscene press F9 to finish immediately and go on to the next one. The last level is Skittergate which you have to finish on Recruit, Veteran, Champion and Legend difficulty. They should be stackable though so just go for the Legend difficulty. Doing this should put you at 17/26.
⭐ After this, switch heroes (press ESC and then Hero Selection) and play through e.g. Skittergate a single time with all five different heroes for [Virtuoso - Complete a level as every Hero]. It has to be the same level but you just have to do it with each hero/class, and not every hero skin. This will put you at 18/26.
⭐ Now, back in the keep, open the game option menu. Under Gameplay and Interface, make sure you switch "OLD MENU LAYOUT (DEPRECATED)" to "ON". This will allow us to use the crafting menu for infinite crafts in the modded realm. I did this following part with Bardin (the dwarf). Press ESC and open Inventory. Under Crafting, create a weapon, necklace, trinket and a charm - they will be uncommon items when you pick them for crafting but end up as exotic (orange) after crafting thanks to mods. Equip all of those for the achievement where you need to equip full exotic gear. Make sure that you equip an exotic weapon in both weapon slots. The "Equip rarity" achievements should be stackable, so this would put you at 22/26.
⭐ For the next achievement, [Mark of Expertise - Equip a Veteran Item], you have a few options. If you, like me, have played Vermintide 2 previously you might already have a veteran item or a veteran illusion that you can apply to a weapon to give it veteran rarity. Veteran items/illusions can be found in some lootboxes that you receive from challenges. They can also be given to you if you participate in seasonal events, or you can buy them from the in-game shop.
If you've played the game before and are unsure if you have any veteran items/illusion, start crafting every weapon for every character. For each character, after crafting every weapon, go to "Apply illusion" in the crafting menu and see if there are any weapons available that you can apply a veteran illusion to. A veteran illusion will have a red background, the white background ones will not work.
If you don't have any veteran items/illusions from prior play, there is a seasonal Christmas event called "Gifts of the Wolf Father," which runs from December 9 to January 3. During this event, you will be able to open a present every day that might contain a veteran illusion. Here's a list of what you've been able to get from the gifts previous year; it seems to more or less the same every year. To open the gifts, you have to launch the non-modded version of the game and talk to the guy behind the counter in the middle of the keep. Down in the right corner there's a button which will take you to the daily gifts. After opening a gift containing an illusion, close the game and go back to the Modded Realm once again. Open Inventory - Crafting - Apply illusion and apply it to whatever weapon it was for.
Alternatively, you can get veteran weapon illusions year-round by purchasing the Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC. It comes with veteran items (illusions) which cost 50 Shillings (you get 250 for buying the DLC). You can buy them in the unmodded realm and then craft/apply them in the modded realm.
Whatever method you pick, this should put you at 23/26.
❗ Note on Unlocking: If the achievement doesn't pop immediately, try equipping veteran items in both your weapon slots.
❗The equipment related achievement (as well as the craft/salvage one discussed below) didn't give me a notification when popping. I'm unsure if they popped right as well either while being in the keep. If this is the case try going into a campaign level with the gear equipped. The veteran gear achievement popped for me in the Chaos Wastes game mode (which you can select instead of adventure) after being in a level - try that if it doesn't pop for you in normal adventure/in the keep. Also try rebooting the game to see if that pops it.
⭐ The last three achievements relate to salvaging 1x and 100x items, as well as crafting 50 items. Simply go into the crafting menu again, craft 100 items of whatever, and then salvage them. It appears the game tracks 100 individual salvage actions performed rather than 100 items salvaged total, so to be safe, you should salvage all 100 items individually in one go. If the achievement doesn't pop, enter and finish a level and/or reboot the game and it should fix it. Voila — 26/26.
Using the above strat should make it possible to 100% Vermintide 2 within ~1.5 hours.
