I recommend you do 'The Kids Xmas' achievements after you've made a lot of progress in the main game as those levels are quite tough, and because you have to do them all in one session.
Deathless Runs
[Legit Method] If you don't want to use cheese, there are many helpful strats you can utilize from YouTube videos. This playlist is pretty good, but don't be afraid to look up other strats if they aren't consistent enough for you. You can do the levels in any order you want, as long as you do not leave the world hub between levels. You can also quit to map/switch character if you mess up but haven't died yet, to preserve your run. Keep in mind you can't use Meat Ninja or Mr. Minecraft for the deathless runs, they don't count.
[Cheese Method] The first five worlds (light and dark) can be trivialized using the Dr. Fetus glitch, which allows you to play as Dr. Fetus, who is invincible (unless you fall off the map). A different glitch can be used for The End and Cotton Alley, but be warned that Cotton Alley (the hardest world) still requires a fair amount of skill to complete, even while using glitches.
In order to use the Dr. Fetus glitch you have to:
Start on a fresh save file, so back up your save before deleting. Might have to disable cloud saving if it won't let you start fresh. (Save is located at \steamapps\common\Super Meat Boy\UserData)
Opt into the 'ogversion' beta for the game. (Right click Super Meat Boy → Properties → Betas → Beta Participation) You may have to exit and re-enter fullscreen to get the game working properly.
Follow this video guide (everything is explained in the video description). To be safe, don't collect any additional bandages after unlocking the glitched character.
Due to having no character select screen, you can't cheese The End and the Cotton Alley deathless runs in the same way, however there is another glitch we can use.
Also using the 'ogversion' beta, you can freeze the game by pressing ALT, while still being able to move while it's frozen. The nuances of how it can be utilized are a little complicated but there are helpful resources for how to do the Cotton Alley worlds using the glitch. Keep in mind that you still have to be fairly good at the game to pull off the deathless runs, even while using the ALT glitch.
