To execute some of the glitches/exploits explained in this curation, you will need a 2nd peripheral connected, most preferrably a controller.
Speaking of controller, the game's menus are more or less built to navigate using a controller - so as a kb/m player, you might be confused as to why the main menu doesn't have Settings/Options or Social/Friends List directly on there to select alongside the other main options - but it does, however you have to either press M for the Options menu or S for the Social menu - for our purposes, you will never need to go into Server Browser, as these servers more often than not use Steam Workshop mods. The "M" Options menu has more unique options if you enter the "Campaign", "Multiplayer", "Zombies" or "Bonus" submenus. (The Bonus modes are not required for the 100%)
The vanilla client for Black Ops III has a fair share of problems and bugs: Throughout the whole game, you will experience framerate dips, 1-second freezes and lag, even in Campaign. A majority of these moments are clientside, as usually when you get a freeze in the campaign, everything around you still goes on, so for example if you get the freeze while you're out in the open, you can't move but the enemies can and you will get downed or die - this is a recurring issue during Realistic attempts.
The Multiplayer mode within the vanilla client is very unsafe, plagued by cheaters, hackers and RCE exploiters - however there is a custom match XP and Medal glitch which will be explained later that should limit your exposure to these hostile elements.
Zombies matches, including Solo matches have a tendency sometimes to flat-out crash (usually due to too many G_Spawn entities, something which you can't avoid with the vanilla client, unfortunately) - but you will also find yourself getting disconnected from Black Ops III servers often, this boots you out of any match you've got going. Despite the lack of infinite mega gobblegums, you CAN save the megas you have used in a match if you either use the fast_restart keybind OR alt-f4 (but not during a game over, as that will instantly save the fact you've spent megas). If you're in a public or private match in co-op, whoever is host has to alt-f4 in order for everyone's megas to save.
The game gives you the option to play the Campaign and Zombies in either Online or Offline mode. The main aspect about these two modes is that stats, save data and progress in either are completely separate - the most recommended mode to play on is Online, despite the related bugs and issues described above, as you'd rather have your progress available if Realistic is too hard and you need a co-op partner, while Zombies has easter eggs and achievements that require 3-4 players. This does mean that if Steam servers are in maintenance or your online connection is gone, you are locked out of your true progress until they return.
During your first playthrough of the campaign, DO NOT use mission select while in the "Mission Records" terminal in the safehouse, as even re-selecting the current mission will detach you from the actual "playthrough" and have you start playing the missions separately for the session. For example: you're on In Darkness and select it again in mission select - if you start playing from there and reach the mission "Hypocenter" - you will have unlocked every mission up until Hypocenter, however the next session when you press "Resume" will force you to play through In Darkness until you reach Hypocenter again (to realize this has occured: the mission select menu will show In Darkness and every mission up until Hypocenter with an X symbol, instead of a green box). This doesn't impact your overall progress, but it will cause issues if you bring a co-op partner later or purely as a menuing inconvenience.
Various parts of this curation make multiple mentions of progress and unlocks in the campaign - all of these are made with a solo Realistic playthrough in mind, where you get all of the XP gains, it even seems to be the intended path for going from Level 1 to 20 in one playthrough, as you reach 20 guaranteed after completing the final mission. Therefore, keep in mind: in a co-op session, XP gains will vary depending on each player's performance, whether it's amount of kills, challenges completed or accolades obtained in a mission (some accolades don't get shared between players upon completion), so don't panic if you find yourself not at level 6 after completing New World which would normally let you equip the Drakon and Emergency Reserve, for example.
Note: The Annihilator is in the pistol category, however it's still classified as a Special weapon, therefore any aspect of the game that requires you to use a pistol will not count in the Annihilator if used.
Despite the presence of a Steam Workshop, downloading and loading any mod from there will create a separate "profile" (new Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies stats and save data) aswell as disabling all achievements - however the Solo Easter Eggs mod is good for practicing the Shadows of Evil and Shangri-La easter eggs, which both require 4 players to complete.
Only the Zombies DLCs are required for the completion: The Giant Zombies Map, Der Eisendrache Zombies Map, Zetsubou No Shima Zombies Map, Gorod Krovi Zombies Map, Revelations Zombies Map and the Zombies Chronicles - Chronicles is not part of the Season Pass.
Campaign: Personal Decorator
The Steam guide provided by user Masadaeus covers a majority of the campaign, mainly the misc. achievements - however there are details that are only going to be covered here.
Personal Decorator is essentially the decoration you get for 100%-ing the entire campaign: as you need to complete all challenges, get all other decorations, get all mission accolades, unlock and upgrade everything and complete every mission on Realistic including the Combat Immersion. Excluding missables and misc. achievements, you will find that the rest of the campaign achievements are simply markers of your progress towards obtaining Personal Decorator. To get your bearings, the only place where you can check your challenges is in the main menu's Campaign submenu, where the Player character is usually smoking a thick cuban cigar. On kb/m, you press M and go into the "Challenges" tab and select "Campaign". As for Accolades, Collectibles and highest completed difficulty for each mission, you go into the "Barracks" tab instead and select the Campaign Combat Record - however the relevant stats found here can also be found in the Safehouse: where by spawn you will find: the Data Vault terminal, your Decoration wall, your Collectible walls and Wardrobe. In the middle, you can find multiple stations like the Weapon Builder for weapon blueprints, unlock and upgrade Cyber Cores or setup a loadout in the Armory where you can unlock what you need using Fabrication Kits. Off to a side room or above the Deployment door, you will find the Combat Immersion chairs, while next to the Deployment door you will find the Mission Records terminal, where you can view a selected mission's threats, check for highest difficulty completed, collectibles found and accolades.
The "Data Vault" terminal found where you "spawn" in the Safehouse has a hidden cheat code menu that can be used without disabling achievements - it does not directly grant achievements but it is helpful if you want to unlock all missions in Mission Select early, get 100 Fabrication Kits immediately or unlock all Cyber Cores and upgrades. It is stated on sites that all collectibles will also be unlocked, but this is a lie, you still need to find them in missions naturally. In order to access it, you will need a controller, as the method to enable it on KB/M hasn't been found: While hovering over the Coalescence Logo on the main screen: RT + X + Y on an Xbox Controller, R2 + Square + Triangle on a Playstation controller. The codes are: MANIFEST - 100 Fabrication Kits CAMPFIRE - Sets "highestMapReached" to 30 - unlocks all missions GOTITALL - Marks all missions as complete with no stats on Recruit/Regular, the only achievement that will pop once you manually complete a mission is the one where you complete the campaign on any difficulty; unlocking all Cyber Cores and Upgrades is inconsistent, so if you don't have them, you won't get them by inserting the code again. Note: In a co-op game, only the host can get the benefits of these cheat codes, while the other players will have to either host or play solo and unlock the safehouse after completing New World to access the Data Vault.
"Grim Reaper", "Heroic Service", "Legendary Service", "Ready for Anything" and "Tried and True": Realistic difficulty
An aspect of the game to keep in mind is that you do not need to finish a playthrough from start to finish on Realistic (or on Veteran if you're going for Immortal Fame), you can tackle each mission separately on Realistic and complete them - which will show either in mission select or on the Mission Records terminal that the highest difficulty completed is Realistic. Once you have all missions completed on Realistic, the achievement should pop immediately. This can be done entirely solo, as there is a very overpowered build that can be used once you get out of the 2nd mission, New World, if your first playthrough is on Realistic, which is recommended because you will be guaranteed max level once you finish the final mission, Life.
VERY IMPORTANT #1: Enable Full Spectrum Mode tactical view and set it to be enabled by Default in the pause menu mid-mission, it's very helpful as it's basically legal wallhacks that will keep track of enemies you see and will also show you who and what your AI and co-op partners see aswell!
VERY IMPORTANT #2: The final mission, Life, has the Coalescence HQ entrance battle section which is really buggy and either advancing too quickly then killing the ASPs afterwards or not advancing at all and killing the ASPs from a distance (or simply killing ASPs and P.A.W.W.S in the wrong order) will cause way too many robots to infinitely spawn in from every conceivable direction, which even on Recruit becomes unsurvivable, let alone Realistic. Down below I will link the timestamped video that describes how you need to placate this mission's buggy scripting, simply follow it.
The Drakon sniper rifle and Emergency Reserve get unlocked at level 6, which should be your level once you leave New World - equip them and kill with the Drakon throughout In Darkness in order to level it up - this will be your main weapon for the rest of the campaign. As you level the weapon up, use the following attachments: ELO Sight, FMJ, Rapid Fire, Extended Mags, Fast Mags, and either Supressor or Stock. Of course, in order to get all 3 attachments slots, you need Primary Gunfighter I-III as the wildcards, the last of which you'll unlock by level 15 together with the War Machine, which is 2 levels shy from unlocking Repulsor Armor, a tac rig which will go together with Emergency Reserve. The Thermal sight can be used to spot enemies easier, however you will block a lot of your field of view and oftentimes find yourself shooting through walls that can't be penetrated - the ELO sight combined with Full Spectrum Mode tactical view is a much more lethal combo. Check the Mission Records terminal for an overview of the upcoming mission - if you see robots, select the EMP grenades, otherwise you won't need lethals or tacticals much. The War Machine will mainly be used during the mission "Demon Within" for the starting boss fight and the end's boss fight. The most useful Core on Realistic, if you haven't completed the Campaign and/or don't have access to Multi-Core is the Chaos Core - primarily the "Immolation/Adaptive Immolation" (insta-kills targeted robots) and "Blinding Swarm/Firefly Swarm" (exposes hidden human enemies, stuns 54 Immortals' Warlord enemies and Firefly Swarm straight-up kills some regular enemies aswell, not to mention the large amount of enemies it stuns/kills at once), these two are the only ones you need and are often safe to use while in cover. Note: If you have used an Emergency Reserve mid-mission, you don't need to die or restart checkpoint to get it back - instead, find a mobile armory and reselect your loadout with Emergency Reserve, this will let you use it again.
The "Grim Reaper" decoration which you obtain for killing 2k enemies in total should come naturally after a full Realistic playthrough, especially since the build will allow in a tendency to constantly shoot certain infinite spawns until an area becomes safe enough to advance through - such as the Provocation super tree section or the Rise and Fall spike planting section.
The "Ready for Anything" challenge requires you to finish the Combat Immersion found in the Safehouse on Realistic difficulty - which will also get you the "Tried and True" (35K score Gold on Combat Immersion) Decoration. This is notoriously hard as you are bombarded by explosives, surrounded on all sides and can of course only take one hit, as Emergency Reserve is disabled in Combat Immersion. However, a glitch has been present since approximately 2017 which gives you God mode during the entirety of the Combat Immersion's 15 waves. To execute this glitch, you will need a 2nd peripheral, preferrably a controller, which you will use to activate splitscreen. The video below will explain the glitch in better detail:
Immortal Fame
Immortal Fame is a cakewalk compared to the Realistic playthrough, however there are things you have to look out for: Warlords and Talon drones - which will melt you if you're out of cover for even a second - keep an eye out on the tactical view for the yellow/red pip above their heads, which indicates they're shooting directly at you Instant Death/restart sections - whether it's falling off the map, failing to protect an ally, shooting at friendlies (especially during Life), falling behind a chase, shooting a target you're only supposed to chase OR the worst of it all: running over high damage static fire, especially during Sand Castle, which will inexplicably just deny you your Emergency Reserve and restart the checkpoint. If a death or checkpoint restart occurs, restart the mission you're on immediately, even if the checkpoint restart puts you at the very beginning. Getting the "Untouched!" accolade on your after-action report is a good way to know if you've done it correctly, but there is a chance that you might have gotten it on a mission while playing on Realistic (hats off to you if you did), so check accolades for each mission in the Mission Records terminal to know whether you should track for this or not. Once you've done all missions in any order on Veteran without restarting from a checkpoint, the decoration should show up in the last mission's after-action report or on your decoration wall. Note: In co-op, it has been found that the mission Demon Within (the others haven't been found to have this issue yet) can time out/crash player(s) during certain cutscenes after picking up the baby, or even later sometimes. If this occurs: do not panic, let the crashed player(s) rejoin and ignore the skull that shows up on the scoreboard as it does not count against Immortal Fame for everyone else or the player(s) in question.
Chronicler
The video guide linked below showcases all collectible locations for each mission. It's recommended to not do this during your Realistic/Immortal Fame playthroughs, as some of the collectibles in the campaign require sacrificing a tactical rig slot for Traversal Enhancement. Mid-mission, the collectibles displayed on the right side of the pause menu are sorted chronologically from left to right - so if you get a collectible and see it's ahead a slot, you missed a collectible in the previous section.
Above and Beyond
This decoration requires you to complete all accolades. If you aren't keen on using the cheat code menu in the Data Vault to get your fabrication kits for the unlocks that are needed to facilitate the grinds below this section, you will get the kits by completing certain accolades in each mission (not all accolades grant fabrication kits). Once you obtain an accolade, you can safely die, restart checkpoint, get to the next checkpoint or save and quit because it saves as soon as you get it (check pause menu > accolades to be sure, in case of a death or checkpoint restart right as the accolade got obtained). This Steam guide by Perdiccas perfectly explains each accolade mission by mission. One thing to note is that certain accolades require you to enter the mission with certain Cyber Core abilities unlocked, upgraded and equipped, or certain weapons in your loadout - so make sure to read in advance to save yourself some loading screens. Eitherway, expect to play through the same missions multiple times to get what you need.
"Armament Superiority", "Dedicated to Excellence", "Master of Arms" decorations and the "Tools of the Trade" tab of Campaign Challenges
Before even starting with "Master of Arms" or "Tools of the Trade", it's best to focus on unlocking and upgrading everything you can - which is best done after level 20, which you should already have if you've done your first playthrough on Realistic. Once you've gotten everything available, use your cheat menu or accolade-obtained Fabrication Kits to unlock and upgrade everything you can find in the "Armory" loadouts for the "Armament Superiority" decoration, followed by unlocking and upgrading every Cyber Core ability for the "Dedicated to Excellence" decoration.
Competing with the campaign challenges, Master of Arms, also known as the campaign camo grind, is one of the lengthiest parts of the completion. Despite the description of this decoration saying you need to unlock all weapons, attachments and camos, it's partially a lie. The XM-53 DF (non lock-on variant) only needs ~250 kills, missing out the Woodlums camo. The best way to track weapon camo progress is mid-mission, holding TAB for the scoreboard. There are a total of 25 primary weapons and 7 secondary weapons. Each primary, it doesn't matter the category, requires 650 kills each. For secondaries, there are 2 launchers which need 300 kills each (excludes War Machine. XM-53 DF is a bit iffy as mentioned earlier) and 3 pistols (excludes Annihilator), which only need 150 kills each. Calculated, you need a total of 16,250 kills for primaries and 600+450 = 1,050 kills for secondaries, which nets for a grand total of 17,300 kills. Note: You do not need to farm kills for the lock-on variant of the XM-53, the Spike Launcher or the Micro-Missile launcher special weapons that you find in static spawns across certain missions. However, there have been confirmed reports of the War Machine and Annihilator not needing kills, despite the fact the Annihilator has camos show up for it if the kills are acquired (and also despite the fact they are unequippable anyway) - so if you are missing the decoration, try getting kills for those two weapons and see if you get it then. Another lengthy grind is "Tools of the Trade", which focuses on the usage of all 3 Cyber Cores and their abilities. Excluding Juiced, the main way to finish each challenge in this tab is through enemy kills. Juiced is different as you need to use the Ravage Core ability in the Control Cyber Core to stun other robots - the core you ravage acts as a free EMP grenade (and kill on the robot you ravaged the core from). The challenges can be categorized by the three Cyber Cores:
Control Core (Mastery = use abilities against 500 enemies)
Martial Core (Mastery = use abilities against 500 enemies)
Chaos Core (Mastery = use abilities against 500 enemies)
Juiced: Debilitate 125 enemies with Ravage Core/EMP
Fast as Lightning: Kill 100 enemies with a follow-up Rapid Strike
Inferno: Kill 100 enemies in the explosions from Immolated enemies
3 Laws Compliant: Kill or debilitate 100 enemies with Ravage Core
Pulverized: Pulverize 100 enemies using Overwhelming Force
Swarmed: Kill 135 enemies while they are blinded by fireflies
Commandeered: Kill 100 enemies using Remotely Hijacked robots
Shockwave: Knock Down or Kill 100 enemies using Concussive Wave
Demo Expert: Earn 150 kills with explosives (and/or Immolation)
Control Core total: 200 kills, 125 stuns = 175 more uses for Mastery
Martial Core total: 300 kills = 200 more uses for Mastery
Chaos Core total: 235/385 kills = 265/115 more uses for Mastery
Demolition Expert and Juiced don't exactly need the stated Cyber Core abilities to be used in order to fulfill their requirements, so the count for the Masteries they reside in might be a little inaccurate. Another thing to note about Juiced: charging robots (different from robots that walk that generally are armed with guns) cannot be stunned, they can only be killed, which makes them perfect core ravage candidates OR easier one-shots as they are weaker than the armed robots. Also, the ravaged cores act as grenades, so remember you have to hold the grenade throw button if you want to keep a core in your hands and not throw it immediately.
Very important: If you die during either of these grinds, the number of kills will get reverted to the last checkpoint. So for example if you enter a checkpoint with 150 kills and die mid-way at 650, you will go back to 150. Save and quitting, getting to the next checkpoint or completing the mission will save your kills just fine. You shouldn't be in danger on Recruit, however it is very much possible to get overzealous with Cyber Core abilities especially and get aimbotted before you get to fall back to safety and regen health.
The thing in common with both of these grinds is that you can utilize the same 3 farming spots in the campaign to rack up the necessary weapon and Cyber Core kills and stuns (in the case of Juiced). Each of these spots will be detailed below in terms of what weapons or Cyber Cores they're most useful for. If you're also up for it, you can start a "new game" of the campaign and reach any of these points, which should allow for an easy return to them by simply pressing resume instead of having to replay the entire mission.
Hypocenter: Boss Fight
At the end of the "Hypocenter" mission you will be facing Diaz - he is protected by an infinitely spawning army of robots. For farming Juiced, shoot down the first reactor and throw in your first nade to trigger the 2nd phase - you will have charging robots which you can use to ravage their cores and throw at the armed robots that will spawn in the middle. All robots around Diaz will spawn in what's more or less a circle.
Once you are satisfied with your debilitations, shoot the 2nd reactor, throw in your 2nd nade and initiate the 3rd phase. During the 3rd phase, you have to hold out until the reactor is exposed, as Hendricks is constantly under attack by charging robots and you don't want that for the purposes of grinding. Once Hendricks is no longer being attacked (might require shooting down the 3rd reactor, depending on how the mission script is feeling during your attempt), you will have free reign against an unlimited army of charging robots in either running or walking form. Be careful, as these robots explode when you get too close, so you want to separate them as much as possible if you're going for Ravage Core kills (the core ravaging animation might bug out if the charging robot explodes at the same time, but the core will still be ravaged).
Once you are done ravaging cores, you can either use these charging robots to farm weapon kills OR rack them up like bowling pins and farm Overwhelming Force or Concussive Wave kills. Of course, the robots can also be used for Remote Hijack kills and Immolation kills. If you have loadouts with one-shot snipers equipped, you can stay by the bottom of the stairs and let the charging robots come to you and line themselves up, which should net easy collats. When satisfied, save and quit or throw in the final nade and initiate the next checkpoint then save and quit. Note: Follow-up Rapid Strike attacks (where your character does the 2nd elbow hit and the 3rd charged punch) basically do not work against charging robots, they will simply explode and stun you out of the Rapid Strike, so you might want to either do these during the 2nd phase OR in the upcoming farming spot:
Rise and Fall: Spike Planting Section
After the lengthy opening walking sequence, cutscenes and initial shootout followed by another cutscene, you will find yourself in hand with the Spike Launcher. Plant the very first spike and detonate it - you now have an infinitely spawning amount of human enemies to farm - however as long as you don't plant and detonate the final two spikes, you can play around with what detonated amount works for you, as enemy spawns increase or change with each set of spike plants and detonations. The following section has no Mobile Armories present, so you will only be able to farm two weapons per mission attempt (do NOT restart the mission to use the mobile armory in the beginning to use 2 other weapons, save and quit and start again from the Safehouse.). Despite the fluff between attempts, this is by far the most effective method to farm weapon kills for everything except shotguns, one-shot bolt action Snipers and the BlackCell. Human enemies are also the easiest to get close for Rapid Strike follow up attacks - utilise the hole in the wall at the very back of the "arena" as it's the main spawn for a lot of human enemies, and if you kill them fast enough, you can spawncamp them - do take note that going through the hole in the wall will initiate a countdown to return to the battlefield before a mission failure, so do not let it go down to 0. There are also two robot enemies that spawn in on the left of the hole in the wall. Ravaging one's core will only stun the other, as the human enemies you encounter in this mission aren't augmented and do not get stunned by EMPs or ravaged cores. There are more robot enemies that spawn after you detonate the last two spikes, however the enemies will come in so abundantly that you will be risking death - even more so if an enemy R.A.P.S sneaks past your defenses.
Life: Entrance to Coalescene HQ
In the final mission, once you get past the parking lot section, you will go through a downed VTOL and land downwards into a massive battle against many types of robots. This is the best place to farm BlackCell kills, aswell as one shot bolt action snipers and the shotguns, as long as you don't kill the final ASP that's right in front of the door to Coalescence HQ (the building at the very back when you land in this section).
VERY IMPORTANT, AGAIN: The scripting during this section is really buggy and either advancing too quickly then killing the ASPs afterwards or not advancing at all and killing the ASPs from a distance (or simply killing ASPs and P.A.W.W.S in the wrong order) will cause way too many robots to spawn in from every conceivable direction, which even on Recruit becomes unsurvivable and will not help for the purpose of this grind. I will relink the timestamped video that describes how you need to placate this mission's buggy scripting, simply follow it until you are told to kill the last ASP - which you won't.
Because you've left the last ASP alive, the armed/charging robots that are generally around it spawn in from the buildings on either side of it. Each room has two robot spawns, so look out for 4 robots outside so you can kill them and get them spawning in either room, where you can spawn-camp them. If you kill them fast enough before their spawners fully turn around, the spawners will immediately turn around and send in a new one. There is a mobile armory where you entered the section so you can farm the kills for a grand total of 10 weapons per attempt. Because of the nature of how these robots spawn, you can consistently be close enough for them to be a big target for one-shot weapons, which includes all shotguns (some need aiming higher at the robots' bodies). If you find yourself running out of ammo, each side has an additional building that has no robots spawning, but has an ammo box. For the BlackCell, once the P.A.W.W.S and other ASPs are gone, you can farm kills on the three talons that spawn in - the reason why they constantly spawn in is because an ASP has three talons circling around it at all times - just be careful not to kill the ASP in the process, although it should be impossible because it has repulsor armor that will deflect your missile if it gets too close.
"Duty Calls" (ha-ha) and "Full Honors" decorations
If you have followed and done everything described above, you should have already gotten these decorations and be met with a beautiful filled up Decoration wall. There have been reports that despite getting "Untouched!" on Hardened/Veteran/Realistic in a mission (or have done Immortal Fame), the "Immortal" challenge in the "Missions" tab within challenges didn't unlock. If this occurs, simply start any mission on Hardened and try to not even get downed and complete the mission.
Multiplayer
What's supposed to be a very dangerous and tedious experience has been shortened to a very short ~998 kill farm that spans across two bugged custom matches. A controller is recommended to execute this glitch, while another person is required - if they have a controller with which they can activate splitscreen when they join in the bugged custom matches, it will shorten the time taken to farm XP and medals by a lot. Before linking the guide below, it's best to get prepared before starting the glitch. Head into "Custom Games" within Multiplayer and select Firebreak with the Purifier as your specialist, you will need his Purifier to get a specialist-based medal that requires 3 rapid kills with it. Go into "Setup Game", change the map to Nuketown and change the Game Mode to Search and Destroy. Go into "Edit Game Rules" and follow the changes according to the photos (keep a note of the stars next to each changed setting):
Once you've followed the changes above, stay on the main "Edit Game Rules" menu and press O, then save, name it in a way you'd recognize it and then make sure to click on the save button below the description. Now, if you ever want to load this, simply go into "Custom Game" > "Change Game Mode" > Search and Destroy > it'll be listed there. The 17 selections for Custom Classes is important, as the best build for quickly farming kills in the "enemy" spawn is... the Drakon. Make sure you have Primary Gunfighters I-III, use fast mags and the ELO sight. For perks, pair the Drakon with Perk 1 Overclock and Perk 2 Scavenger. Note: the custom class might not be available after setting up the glitched custom game, so be sure to check it's in there before starting the farm.
The guide linked above explains in both written and video form how to pull the glitch off, just keep in mind that you do not need to do the glitch setup three times, only twice: Once to start up the solo match that boots you out once the timer reaches 0, then the second where you can use your Nuketown S&D setup and let the other player join in with activated splitscreen. Make sure the other player isn't queueing in a public match that's either S&D OR has Nuketown in the vote pool. You also don't need a hard drive (it has been proven possible on an SSD by me and multiple other people). The controller is recommended purely for the timing you have to pull off between pressing "Join Game" on the person queueing the public match and "Custom Games". Once you're in the match together, simply run to the other player's spawn and start spawncamping and getting to 499 kills, which is the maximum before a game/lobby crash. It's best to rack up rapid, consistent one-shot headshots as the medals are the main source of XP - however, activate your Purifier and get 3 rapid kills for an achievement (the fast spawns of the other person and their splitscreen clone should allow for the specialist-based medal) - do it a few more times and you'll get 5 specialist-based medals for another achievement. You will need to do the glitch again as you will not reach level 55 in one match with 499 kills. Note: Only the person doing the glitch itself gets the ability to gain XP and medals
WARNING!!!
If you see your IP, or if the other person sees their IP on the screen or text chat, or if a player named "cids" (or a glitched name) joins the public match queuer's lobby: QUIT/ALT-F4 THE GAME IMMEDIATELY! this is a very dangerous RCE exploiter that has been plaguing Black Ops 3 MP servers for years at this point. Simply plan the glitch for hours later or the next day after, just to be safe.
Zombies
The equivalent of the Personal Decorator journey in Campaign is the journey to getting the Super Easter Egg in Revelations. It is slightly jumbled in that you can technically only do all easter eggs except you do Shadows of Evil up until you obtain the "Complete all Rituals" achievement (which is NOT doing the full Easter Egg that gives you the Summoning Key, it's merely for getting Pack-a-Punch active), then do the Revelations Super EE with people that already have all the parts to actually make it happen.
Before getting any further ahead, let's get our bearings: Zombies is a solo or 2-4 player co-op round-based game mode. The mystery box is the usual way of getting more weapons than the wall-buys or the wonder weapons, although from Black Ops 2 onwards we also have the option of making buildables, both in terms of special/specialist weapons or wonder weapons themselves. "Easter Eggs" or "EEs" are the cryptic, multi-step main quests featured in most zombies maps from World at War's "Der Riese" map onwards (this map is also known as The Giant, which is the name of the BO3 Zombies Remake, also required for the Super EE). In short, they are "pause and read a guide every 5 seconds" simulators. Black Ops III introduced the concept of Gobblegums. It's primarily a P2W concept, where you have to either slowly earn the in-game currency "Liquid Divinium", get some as a bonus for purchasing the Zombies Deluxe edition or simply buying COD Points to bypass all those problems and start rolling Mega Gobblegums (the P2W RNG gacha gobbles that are only obtained through either distillation of other Megas or the gacha rolls). Another quirk of Megas is that you don't have them infinitely like the free gobbles, each time you roll and use a Mega from the machine, it counts as spent - unless you or the host ALT-F4 out of the match before a Game Over. There's of course free Gobbles, one of which (Anywhere but Here!) is required for Zetsubou No Shima's EE, but the ones you generally have access to early in Prestige 0 are very irrelevant OR you have to grind into the late levels (30-35) to even be graced by the presence of the good ones.
Zombies Chronicles
Before being concerned with the Super EE-related maps and EEs themselves, a good way to start and get acquainted to Zombies is playing through the Zombies Chronicles maps. Aside from Shangri-La's EE (the wonder weapon achievement can be done solo), all of the achievements for these can be done solo and the only solo achievement maps that require you to do their EEs are Moon (partial EE, up until the Pyramid soul boxes - soul boxes being objects you have to charge by killing a certain number of zombies next to them) and Origins (full EE except sending the Maxis Drone into the sky which would end the match), however the latter is very complex and gives you a taste for BO3 main map EEs, so it's actually recommended to do it co-op.
The misc. achievements in Chronicles are very straight forward, however the main aspect about any Zombies Map is learning every room and area, especially how they're named... It's very easy to get lost on maps made post-WaW. The important part is to have fun, maybe even don't focus on achievements and try and pull off as high of a round as you can, since you do earn Liquid Divinium (at a snail's pace, but any bit helps), weapon XP for attachments and overall XP that unlocks more free gums. Throughout my personal journey for these maps, I have found a consistent guide creator on Steam that has every detail for the map you're interested in doing: FreeMetal. His guides have sections on the EEs themselves, buildables, how to activate Pack-a-Punch and even details on each achievement featured on the map. I do suggest reading the guides in their entirety or keeping an eye by chapters on how they are structured, because usually the EE steps are explained before where to find buildable parts, which is done before the EEs, for example. I will be providing guide links below for the Zombies Chronicles maps where guidance is appreciated for their achievements:
Almost all Super EE maps feature around 9 misc. achievements (excluding SoE which has 8 and Revelations which has 7), there are some that are simply following the EE steps, but there are also others that don't. A general recommendation if you're planning on doing the EE is to play separate matches where you knock out the non-EE misc. achievements out of the way, so even the concept of attempting them doesn't cross your mind. There are a lot of instances where going for non-EE misc. achievements will make your EE life miserable, especially in Revelations, which solo requires you to be on a "post round 20" round in order to rack up 40 zombies to kill in one single Corruption Turret activation. Oh, and The Giant has no achievements but its short EE is required for the Super EE.
As a word of warning, the most difficult maps in this entire process are Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod Krovi and Revelations... if you can't find people to play Shadows of Evil (SoE) with, you can add it to the list aswell, because finding 3 other randoms willing to do the EE successfully and not quit midway is a genuine paradox. But first, to reiterate, only Shadows of Evil's EE needs to be done in co-op if you want the Summoning Key for yourself - however there are misc. achievements that require other people: in Der Eisendrache and Zetsubou no Shima. They will be described now, but any details glossed over will be covered in FreeMetal's guides which will be linked shortly below.
Der Eisendrache's achievement involves a 3 player lobby where the one needing it equips the Ragnarok DG-4 buildable specialist weapon - the other 2 players then have to get downed, which is followed by the Ragnarok wielder planting it on top of them with right click, then reviving them. Zetsubou's achievement can be done in a 2 player lobby - there are mini-boss enemies called Thrashers that spawn in or are the result of zombies infected by a spore (orange-ish bubbles on certain walls that when popped, give out an orange infectious mist). The player who needs the achievement has to get downed and eaten by a thrasher, the other player having to kill the thrasher and revive the player afterwards. Keep in mind that when the thrasher victim gets downed, the thrasher will chase the other player for about 5 seconds before returning to the downed player to eat them.
Shadows of Evil
Practice the EE solo using the workshop mod provided earlier, otherwise this is pretty straight forward when following the guide, honestly the EE itself is pretty simple if you exclude the co-op coordinating.

The Giant
FreeMetal does not have a guide for this map, but this one from °Phil° is equally as good. The EE counts as "complete" when you grab the Annihilator from the furnace.

Der Eisendrache
By far the best map in the Super EE line-up. The EE itself only really requires the Lightning Bow, but one of the achievements requires getting all bows in one game.

Zetsubou no Shima
A pretty hard map. Focus on watering the necessary plants early, as each plant needs 3 rounds to fully grow into what you need. At some point, make an imprint plant and clone yourself then die to get resurrected by said plant for an achievement. At some point you'll also have to water a fruit plant while being full on perks in order to throw up for another achievement.

Gorod Krovi
Pretty lengthy and risky EE, the Russian Manglers are a common and constant threat alongside the dragons which breathe fire in areas that heavily restrict your movement. The Time Trial: Round 20 achievement, which should 100% be done separately - if you have accumulated a lot of Death Machine and Nuke megas, aswell as Round Robbin', they will come in handy. Remember to alt-f4 when you're done with the time trial or feel like you aren't gonna survive, especially with the dragon breathing fire where you're training zombies, in order to save your spent Megas. Another tip if you might miss the Alt-F4 is to NOT eat "one-time use" gobbles like Perkaholic multiple times in one game, as they will get spent even if they give no benefits. Don't risk it just to shorten the Machine's timers and cooldowns. Other than the Time Trial: Round 20, all other misc. achievements are basically on the way to the EE - including the Gigant Beam, as it is needed to uncover one of the SOPHIA trophies.

Revelations: For The Good Of All

Okay, er, let's recap a bit, shall we? This was meant to be a new start, really, a perfect world free from all the evil that had corrupted each and every corner of the known and unknown universe. It was going to be a place of safety for our kids, the little 'yous'...
Remember this part of the opening cutscene's starting monologue (ends around where it is skippable) because you will be hearing it. A lot. Be warned that the vanilla BO3 client is very likely to just disconnect you or crash you out of this map late into the EE steps. Out of all misc. achievements, only 1 can be gotten naturally from the EE steps, which is freeing the Pack-A-Punch from the Apothicon's guts. The others are either missable unless you plan in advance, requires a LOT of luck (having to also spin for the Thunder Gun alongside the Apothicon Servant and Li'l Arnies) or outrageously difficult (40 kills with one Corruption Turret activation either requires a solo player to be in the round 30's or to play co-op which spawns in more zombies per round). If you've left the Super EE for last, you will be given the RK-5 as a starting pistol forever and around 1 mil. XP, which is great if you plan on playing more... completely worthless if you're not playing Zombies after the completion ever again.
