Press J to open the Journal, and M to open the Map. Use the journal to keep track of objectives, if needed.
Some side quests are not available until you've done one of the ones you currently have, so just work through them as you get them. Characters with a side quest have an exclamation point over their head, which does not disappear after you've completed it.
Chess Pieces Locations[imgur.com] 'The killing joke... for your back' unlocks after talking to the old man at the chess board after you've collected all the chess pieces.
Postcards Locations
For the Chinese Festival side quest, the mooncakes are located at Stranger's Gate. (top left of map)
For 'Debunker' you must find two people arguing at Stranger's Bridge. They will appear after you pick up the mooncakes. Talk to the man and explain that the girl is right (high ISO is bad for photo quality) to unlock the achievement.
Dog is located near the fountain where you did your first quest. Choose all of the dialogue options for the achievement.
For 'Average Mitoraj Enjoyer' you need to photograph the two big metal statues. One is storyline (first objective in the game), the second is located at the chess board.
Save 'New toys' for last since you will need the money from the side quests. Go to the shop near the two black pawns and purchase a digital camera and a memory card. Open your inventory and put the card and a battery in the camera. Finally, take a B grade photo with it. I got it by photographing the Chinese Festival stalls.
